In a forward-thinking move, the Agnya Superyacht swaps the conventional helicopter hangar for a VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aerial vehicle. This decision reflects the growing prominence of the VTOL industry and its potential impact on the future of transportation. About the designer
Sanjit Nair, his passion for design was ignited by a love for aviation and drawing. As a Transportation Design student, he explored various vehicle categories, including completing an internship at JCB India Design Centre. During this time, he developed a strong interest in the elegance and sophistication of flagship luxury cars, which eventually led him to the world of yacht design—a perfect fusion of automotive aesthetics and maritime luxury. Growing up in India, with its rich nautical heritage, Sanjit brings a unique perspective to the field. He also holds a provisional patent for a new kind of industrial vehicle. Eager to introduce fresh ideas while respecting traditional elements, he aims to contribute significantly to yacht design. After graduating first in his class in Transportation Design, he is now specializing in Yacht Design at IED Turin in Italy, where he plans to apply his skills and passion to this field.
